Galia Rude (born Galina Tuisova, 1970, Syktyvkar, Russia) is a contemporary artist based in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Her passion for art began in childhood, later refined through studies at the Yaroslavl Art School and Syktyvkar State University.
Since relocating to Germany in 2011, she has drawn inspiration from new landscapes and architecture. Initially focusing on watercolor, she created an extensive body of work and taught at the Volkshochschule. By 2012, her style shifted toward abstraction, experimenting with acrylics and innovative techniques. Themes evolved from movement (“Car Traffic”) and human relationships to broader concepts such as time, the universe, and existence.
Since 2020, Galia has worked primarily intuitively, guided by transcendental music and yoga. Her sketchbooks, filled with symbols and signs, serve as a foundation for paintings that merge personal emotions with universal meanings.
Her art blends watercolor and acrylic with elements of Expressionism, Cubism, and Symbolism. Multi-layered compositions intertwine reality and fantasy, evoking harmony and meditative depth.
Galia Rude’s work has been exhibited internationally, including in Italy, China, Bulgaria, Vietnam, England, and Switzerland. Her pseudonym reflects the inner energy of an artist exploring the balance between chaos and harmony through intuition and emotion.
