Humanity in Transition

Humanity in Transition explores humanity as a state of constant movement between chaos and harmony, fragmentation and transformation. The figures appear not as individual portraits, but as collective images of human vulnerability, resistance, and the search for meaning. Die Serie ist stark beeinflusst von Beobachtungen der heutigen Menschheit — ihrer Kämpfe, Widersprüche, Verletzlichkeit und ihres beständigen Strebens nach Sinn, Balance und Transzendenz.

Series: Structures of Presence

Structures of Presence explores states of human presence within the tension between stability and dissolution, resistance and transition. The series emerged from personal experiences of working with geriatric patients as well as reflections on the fragility of human existence and the vulnerability of civilization itself. Rather than depicting classical portraits, the works translate emotional and psychological states into structures of lines, axes, densities, and open spaces. Vertical elements symbolize inner tension, resilience, and the desire to preserve presence, while horizontal and dissolving forms suggest transition, release, and transformation. The series is not intended as a representation of decay, but as an exploration of human consciousness in moments of existential uncertainty — between fear and hope, memory and change, physical fragility and the sense of an enduring inner presence.
